Fresh Chili’s Copycat Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium to large tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 small jalapeños, quartered (or 1 medium jalapeño)
  • 1 small yellow onion, quartered
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Place the quartered jalapenos and yellow onion into a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse for a few seconds or until finely chopped.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients to the blender/food processor then blend for a few more seconds leaving it slightly chunky, not quite a puree.
  4. Place in a lidded container and store in refrigerator for a couple hours or overnight, if possible.

Suggested Pairings:

Pair with thin cantina style tortilla chips for a true Chili’s experience.
