Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Cane Sugar
- 1 Cup White Karo Syrup
- 1 ½ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 6 Cups Special K Cereal
- 12oz Pkg Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 6oz Pkg Butterscotch Chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Pour sugar and karo syrup into a small saucepan and bring to a boil and remove from heat immediately
- Add peanut butter to sugar mixture and stir
- Add 6 cups of special k cereal to large mixing bowl.
- Pour sugar mixture over the cereal and stir well. Coat the cereal completely
- Put mixture into a greased 9”x12” pan and pat down
- Sprinkle the package of chocolate chips and butterscotch chips on top
- Put pan in oven for 2-4 minutes (Or just long enough to melt the chips but not burn)
- Remove pan from oven and spread chocolate/butterscotch topping until blended
- Cut while still warm (store in fridge for later)

Recipe's Story:
These are by far my favorite dessert. My mom has made these bars for every holiday. Our entire family believes she makes them best and always requests them. I still have not made them as well as she has, but I won’t stop trying! And I have never been able to resist taking less than 3 bars in a sitting.
