Mom’s Brownies

Ingredients:
Brownies
- ¼ lb or 1 stick oleo (for those that don’t know that was bad butter)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 can (16 ounces) of Hershey syrup (it used to come in a can!)
- ½ bag of chocolate chip morsels
Frosting
- ¾ cup sugar
- 6 tbsp oleo (butter)
- 6 tbsp milk
Directions:
- Preheat over 350 degrees
- Beat oleo and sugar and eggs until very creamy
- Add syrup and flour. Beat well.
- Grease cake pan or cookie sheet
- Bake for 20–25 minutes
- Meanwhile, start making frosting
- Boil frosting ingredients together for 30 seconds then
- Add ½ cup of chocolate chips morsels to frosting an mix until thick (on low)
- Pour over baked brownies (It will be runny and creamy but will settle when cool)

Recipe's Story:
My Mom always made these brownies for birthday parties, visiting relatives and just because. She would always put them in cupcake liners and a beautiful glass tray. There would never be any leftovers. When we had parties the kids, and adults would ask if she was bringing her brownies.
